For
the past 2 years, Brentwood Citizens Advice Bureau in partnership
with Essex County Council and the local Parish Councils, has been
holding regular clinics in Brentwood’s Parishes to give advice to
residents with particular emphasis on whether they are eligible for,
or receiving their full entitlements to Social Security Benefits
including entitlement to:-
Attendance Allowance Pension Credit & Council Tax Benefit
We
know many people
are unaware of their entitlements, that the application forms can be
intimidating, and we are anxious to insure that all residents get the
financial support they both need and are entitled to. As a measure
of the potential need, so far seven clients have been assisted to
claim benefits that gave them a combined increase in annual income of £34,000.
If
you think you are missing out, and live in the Parish of Blackmore,
Doddinghurst, Herongate, Ingatestone, Kelvedon Hatch, Navestock,
Mountnessing, Stondon Massey or West Horndon, and are unable to
attend your local Parish Clinic, an additional service will be
provided for 6 months.
From
July 1st
to December 31st, an
experienced adviser will be available to visit you in your own home
to give advice on your entitlement.
We
know there is significant under-claiming of these particular
benefits, but we have to rely on you to contact us to find out if you
are entitled.
Please
help us to help you by giving us a call 01277 220248
to
arrange a home visit.
To
see an adviser at your local venue you must ring 01277
220248 for an appointment.
